Fez 2 is cancelled.... for now?

Development of Fez 2 has ceased, well at least that's what its creator Phil Fish says, who has also said that he plans to quit the games business for good after growing disillusioned with certain sections of the industry. It all began with the latest episode of Invisible Walls, a Game Trailers podcast, featuring a lengthy rant from Marcus Beer, a longtime member of the industry now commentating under the named “Annoyed Gamer.”

The podcast was talking about the recent turn around regarding Xbox One self-publishing, and how both Fish and Braid designer Jonathan Blow used Twitter to criticize the press for running towards both of them for quotes about what was, then, still a rumor coming from Game Informer about the news.

After the long rant by the journalist fish caught wind of it and began a tirade of his own on twitter which led to a back and forth between the two which eventually led to fish saying the game was cancelled. while some say this was a knee jerk reaction he has confirmed it to many other journalists and his official web site.

Some would say fish was asking for it as he is known for being very vocal on certain matter's such as Japanese games for instance, others say that beer went to far that opinion is always welcome but when you rant like that with malice its out of order, with the likes of cliff bleszinski coming to his side and asking him to change his mind.

while i feel it may have been uncalled for fish needs to learn to hold his tongue a little or learn to not let the haters get to him so much. Let the games you make shut em up. alas we now have to cope without a great game, i think its only for a short time. i believe that when he calms down Phil will to the world of games, he loves them to much just by judging how passionately he chooses to speak about them, or maybe he has learned his lesson and is now going to quietly work on the sequel without letting the industry influence him, either way i sincerely hope he will return, come back to us you brilliant loud mouthed man, we want to play your games.

The objective is to destroy the opponents' main structure with the assistance of periodically spawned computer-controlled units that march towards the enemy's main structure via paths referred to as "lanes".

Ed Boon the co-founder of nether realm studios the people who brought us Mortal Kombat and injustice gods among us, he is known to mess with fans deliberately but its all in good fun as it keeps fans interested. we talk about the future of superman, the avengers and batman in movies. Dota 2 Mac release.

The great news for Dota lovers Valve have released Dota 2 for Mac and Linux just days after the title was officially taken out of beta.
Dota 2 was developed by valve after they saw the love many had for the original Dota (Defense of the Ancients) mod for Warcraft III and its expansions. Some would argue that without the original Dota that the likes of league of legends wouldn't be as popular.

The basics of Dota 2 is that its a multiplayer online battle arena video game which is what MOBA stands for. The game was released on July 9, 2013 for Microsoft Windows and is exclusively available through Valve's content delivery platform, Steam.

Dota 2 consists of session-based online multiplayer matches, in which two teams of five players attempt to destroy their opponents' fortified strongholds. Each player controls a "Hero" character and, over the course of an individual game, focuses on improving their hero's abilities, acquiring items, and fighting against the other team.

Valve gave out a lot of free beta keys so that people could play but now that its officially released Valve has said it is adding new players in waves to ensure a steady launch. So there is bit of a queue for all of us but I'm sure ye can wait if ya really wanna wait.

If you want to hear us talk about this and more then don't forget to check out our podcast over in our podcasts page or click this link CGP Episode 3: Post EVO blues to listen to the latest episode.

The Beginning

The Beginning

Hello you are all very welcome to the home of the cork gaming podcast. We are 3 friends who love to game and regularly game together and talk about gaming in all its forms, from the all powerful PC to the humblest phone game.

A brief back history of how this all started is the us three (being Eric, Eoin aka Spud and Adrian aka Smig) always have fun gaming and chatting about games and after two of us (Eric and Eoin) started our youtube gaming adventures thought how cool it would be if we could record with all us gaming and how much fun it would, sadly the idea fell by the wayside (for now).

As time went by and money opened up the ability to venture into doing something together became feasible and the idea of a gaming podcast was born. after the purchase of a mic we began our work and the rest is as they say is history.
