"Next Tuesday is going to be exciting because that's when backers can play Broken Age, Act 1," Schafer said via Twitter.
They also stated that a release date for the public Steam Early Access will be announced on the same day.
"Haven't shipped a game of my own in 4.5 years, an adventure game in 16, a point-n-click in almost 20. Next Tuesday is going to be exciting," added Schafer.
The new point-and-click game is a two-part adventure, with the second half expected to be released around April-May. Act 2 will come in the form of a free update to everyone who owns Act 1 which is rather nice of them.
In 2012 Broken Age became one of the most successful video game Kickstarter campaigns when its target of $400,000 was surpassed in mere hours to reach a final total of more than $3.3 million
