Fable trilogy coming in February

Microsoft has confirmed the release of Fable Trilogy for Xbox 360, a pack which obviously bundles the three main games.

Scheduled for a February 7 release, the pack will feature Fable Anniversary - the HD upgrade of the original Xbox game.

Fable Anniversary will also release as a standalone on February 7.

Following the appearance last week of a listing on the Xbox Marketplace, Microsoft verified the existence of the pack with Eurogamer.

"The Fable Trilogy bundle in the Xbox Marketplace is real and in development," the spokesperson said.

"The bundle will include full Xbox 360 titles for Fable Anniversary, Fable 2, and Fable 3. We're excited to share official details regarding the release soon on Lionhead.com."

Fable Anniversary is a HD upgrade of Fable: The Lost Chapters, which was an expanded edition of the original 2004 title.

Anniversary will introduce new Achievements, leaderboards, an updated save system, and full 1080p visuals with lighting and animation powered by Unreal Engine 3.

Fable 2 and 3 will not undergo any changes.

Lionhead is currently developing its first Fable installment for Xbox One. Entitled Fable Legends, it will feature an ever-expanding online world with four-player cooperative play.
