Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z delayed

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, the zombie-themed game based on Ninja Gaiden has been delayed in Europe and North America.

The game was originally due for release on February 28 in Europe, but a tweet from Tecmo Koei Europe has said it has been changed to March 21.

When asked if this would also affect the planned US release date of March 4, the company confirmed it would, with March 18 the new date.

The game's day one special edition was also revealed. It includes an exclusive full colour comic book by Dark Horse, a digital version of the game's soundtrack and Yaiba-themed DLC costumes for use in Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate.

Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z stars resurrected evil ninja Yaiba Kamikaze, who seeks revenge against Ninja Gaiden's leading man Ryu Hayabusa, who was responsible for killing Kamikaze in the first place.

Powered by Unreal Engine 3, Yaiba is a collaboration between Team Ninja and Spark Unlimited, developer of Capcom title Lost Planet 3.
