Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare gameplay video

Microsoft and Activision have shown the first gameplay footage of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

The footage, shown during Microsoft's E3 conference, shows a battle taking place in South Korea.

The player character, Mitchell, drops down in a Korean city along with his fellow squadmates and engages with a number of enemies using advanced technology.

These include large mech-like walkers and swarms of bat-like drones.

Activision officially announced Call of Duty Advanced Warfare last month following numerous leaks

The Sledgehammer developed shooter is said to be set in a plausible future, specifically the year 2054, and stars Kevin Spacey as main antagonist Jonathan Irons.

The Call of Duty Advanced Warfare release date is set for November 4 on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC.
